Without quoting anyone, let me just say that I have been greatly enjoying this thread recently. Disney has truly gone to crap, and I enjoy talking about it as Disney very much deserves this. I am a once Disney lover who now talks crap about Disney every day in casual conservation. I do my little...
God I can only hope that is true! After our Dec 2022 trip, my disappointment in Disney is why we don't currently desire to go back there anymore. If we do go back someday, and I am sure we will eventually, we will surely be staying at Universal. Disney will need to change a lot of things to lure...
Could not agree more with that one. Also, the guest experience since COVID has gone to crap.
For our vacation last year, we stayed a week at the Embassy Suites near ICON Park on International Drive. We did the Pirates Dinner Show, Seaworld, Chocolate Kingdom Tour, ICON Park and just a bunch of...
We did the Caring for Giants tour in 2022 only to be disappointed by not having any elephants to see in the backstage pen they took us to. The cast member said they must be sleeping somewhere out of sight but that our tour fees would go to a good cause. That was of very little benefit, and she...
We loved Rivers of Light. We actually had reservations for the ROL dessert party before Disney cancelled it along with our reservations. The kite show that occupied the theater after ROL was dreadful at best.
Happy to hear that. Sincerely hope it is true.
The guest experience at Disney has truly gone to crap and I don't see going back again until they are able (if they even can) to go back to the great vacation experience that it once was. I was once somewhat of a "big spender" at Disney in that we...
We have eaten at all 4 of the major restaurants in Hollywood Studios (Sci-Fi, Brown Derby, Hollywood/Vine, & 50's Prime Time). Unfortunately, I cannot vote for either choice here because I think the other two are better.
Brown Derby: Worst steak I have ever had. I am a steak connoisseur and...
Par for the course. My last trip in December 2022 I could not get Space 220, Ohana, or almost none of our desired options...and I was also Johnny Spot at 0600 at the 60-day mark. I wish they would go back to 6-months in advance.
Concur. Our last trip in December 2022 was miserable and we have no current plans to return to Disney World. Definitely going back to Universal. Looking forward to the 3rd Universal Park in 2025.
I think that of all things is by far the biggest single problem. If current management only cared more about the guest experience and less about how to make you pay more while you are there, then much would change.
But you are correct, current management just does not care anymore.
Agree completely.
Since COVID, Disney has all but destroyed the once great guest experience in Florida! I hope Disney stock continues to falter until they realize what they have destroyed and take steps specifically to improve the guest experience and not just revenue.
