Two years ago, we booked less than a month before Xmas. We scored a fantastic AP rate at Sports for the beginning of our trip and were able to get all of the ADRs we wanted (although I had to call a couple of times to catch cancellations).

We have always found MK to be pretty empty on Christmas MORNING. Around 11 am, the crowds really start to roll in, and it becomes uncomfortably crowded really fast. This is when we head out of this park. By late evening, the park is quiet again.
I was in Pecos Bill's twice this past week and didn't even notice them! Of course, I was coralling are rowdy children while dh ordered our food.
