Another sad loss from the ROA removal is loss of having Big Thunder as a wennie. Walt was big on having attractions draw you deeper into a land.
How great would it be to still have ROA then rising right of BTM is the new Cars Piston peak formation? That could have drawn you further into...
Goodbye ROA - My 4 year old was so cute because she knew I was going to miss the riverboat. When asked what ride she wanted to do first at the MK she proudly said the riverboat because it was going away.
I think they had the best you could hope for. The area around ROA is really a dense forest. Using that growth with some obvious pathways would be similar to the Pandora reveals at the AK. I think using nature would have been best. Then having the normal tree growth get a bit darker more...
Just came back from visiting MK and was happy to say my good-byes to the river and Liberty Belle. It was so nice to be able to have a relaxing place in the park to walk by or to take a spin on the boat during the day. No matter how good Cars is, you cannot replace that aspect of the ROA nor...
We knew the project would not go away so the only positive I see is more water included so the FL shops and attractions current orientation would still make sense.
However, while the art looks good based on recent additions it is hard to trust it will live up to the art.
Losing the river and...
I agree in part and disagree in part.
I agree that they are there to stop people from tripping but looking at the photos one pole always seems to be placed on top of the white plastic which is bending upwards - one photo it seems like that is causing a pole to even tilt.
Lastly, totally agree...
This is beyond pathetic. Putting crowd control poles on top of plastic to keep it down is not only below Universal, Busch Gardens, Six Flags levels, it is beyond local mall level maintenance presentation. I am simply dumbfounded on how management can let this languish on forever.
Tearing up...
Sad to see all of this work is actually for a DVC center. How long until Disney starts to open in-park brokerage offices to see guests shares of Disney stock - if you buy 50 shares you get a plush Mickey.
The DJ booth has to go!
It is way too loud and does not fit what I would think EPCOT should be. Even if modern WDI thinks it fits whatever Would Celebration should be, it is tacky and below Six Flags level. If I went to a local mall and they were blasting this, I would probably steer clear.
Sadly, looking at the artwork we lose the riverside walk that was added in the late 1990s to help with traffic flow and the new walkway does not look any larger. So, traffic flow could even be worse.
From other posts, I think people know I do not like the Cars ROA replacement plan but even the...
Ok here is the plan troops:
WDI - We got this new kinda hot after being left out of the oven for 4 hours IP...
Bob Iger - You mean like the Muppets in 1990??
WDI - Ok less hot then that
Bob Iger - Still it is IP go on
WDI - Let's not do a ride but a really good 3D video to take over the magic...
My assumption would be changes to DAS.
From my own personal experience (for transparency nobody in my family uses or used DAS) we noticed a huge difference between our trip last December and this December in LL wait times. A few times our LL waits were 20-30 minutes last year. This year...
