Disneyland's used to have a smoke effect that went with the explosion projections, but I haven't seen it work in awhile and the overall experience falls a little flat without it. Part of me hopes Magic Kingdom's fixes the earthquake and moving/falling boulders effect in the finale lift hill...
Yup, even BlogMickey wrote in their article that the edited description could mean that nothing will be done to the finale. Really is a shame to see a site that used to be a trusted news source go the route of Inside the Magic.
Seriously, it’s exhausting to be on here sometimes. When they first announced the lights in the caverns the complaint was, “That’s it?”. Then it was pointed out that they’ll be announcing more details later. And then suddenly the complaint became “They’re doing too much.” 😐
I was referring to the light-ING effects in the caverns, not lightning lol 😅 But yes I agree that it’s a great idea to have a thunder clap to tie into the name.
BTMR having a haunted backstory isn’t new. It’s been established that the mine was built on the site of an ancient burial ground, which has displeased the spirits there. I like that they’re using lighting and sound effects to tell that story better.
Makes me wonder if we’ll be getting something different than the dynamite finale at Disneyland. Something that ties more into this more supernatural first lift hill. Because it’s a lot of secrecy for something that’s already existed for years at two other parks.
Ah definitely missed that part. Thank you for pointing that out and preventing me from spiraling 😅
Rewatched and took this screenshot. Looks like the Royals unit is right before Coco. And you can see Moana behind that one.
You can see the hitch connecting the 7 Dwarves mine cart to the Tangled boat, so that confirms the final unit is two connected floats. I expect the Princess unit will be the same, maybe even 3.
It will be a shame to lose the manor on the water, but I am intrigued by the idea of a manor tucked away into the woods, just peaking out amongst the trees. As sad as I am to lose Rivers of America and the Liberty Belle, I’m ngl I love this new art. I love that there will still be a river along...
