Found a $17 Mother's Day Minolta. It works. My wife's gonna love it.

That’s awesome. I knew film was becoming popular, but didn’t know to what extent until talking to some CineStill reps today. Hope she has a great time with it. I was eyeing an old Nikon F3 until my wife dragged me out after I started pricing stuff to set up a home lab :cautious:

    One Camera / One Lens

It’s entirely about preferences. My wife is in Orlando often for work so gets to spend quite a bit of time in the parks over the course of a year. We are in the Canon ecosystem. For travel I bought her a 24-240 for travel in December. It’s not fast, but is pretty versatile and is pretty good...

2022 NCAA Football is back.......and so are the fans!

When was this day? Players have continued to get bigger, stronger, and faster. We’ve also learned a lot and as a result have modified the way practices are conducted. Safer doesn’t have to mean soft.

    Formula 1 2023

Lando has to be close to perfect, if not perfect. McLaren is changing the wing. But a shunt or two that isn’t Max’s fault could help close the gap quicker. Ferrari shows just enough pace to make you think they could put it together and possibly take some valuable points. Unfortunately I...

Six races left! Max or Lando after Abu Dhabi? Piastri may actually decide who wins the championship.

Trip Report Yia-Yia, Yetis and Epcotonians. A sweltering Summer of '22 adventure!

So two scholarship athletes and a future lawyer that speaks Chinese… Kinda jacking up the curve for the rest of the class there, aren’t you buddy? Congrats to Toni!

How the tables seem to have turned. Unless Red Bull has upgrades coming Checo has to find more pace to limit the bleeding. And somebody have a word with Lando please! I genuinely enjoy his driving and personality when he isn’t obsessing on his self inflicted errors…. But that haircut makes...

    The 2026 Winter Olympic Games (Milan, Italy. February 6th, 2026 - February 22nd, 2026)

There is a community note there now disputing some of the info in that post. No clue what the facts are, and not that interested at this point. I checked it out for a few minutes and moved on to other events.

So Seidl out and Binotto in at Sauber. And Darth Stroll looks like he may actually land Newey? Where do I go to get fitted for my Stormtrooper gear. I really didn’t think there was a chance to see Alonso in one of his cars. Just hope Fernando sticks around for ‘26.

    Formula 1 2023

I think Leclerc is quicker, but more prone to trip over air. I like Sainz a lot, and while he isn’t quite as quick I think he’s less likely to make costly errors. Hamilton is almost unbeatable, if he’s in an unbeatable car. Russell seems to be holding his own quite well in the same equipment...

Doubt we’ll learn anything from Monaco, but we might have some racing going forward. Great to see McLaren progressing, as well as Ferrari! Aston Martin… 🤔
