    Favorite Moderate Resort?

We stayed in the POR Princess rooms last September, and both my daughters loved it. The last time I had been to Riverside it was still known as Dixie Landings. So, from my memory, it was essentially still the same with just a name change (and the Princess room additions). I agree with the...

News Coronado Springs Expansion - Gran Destino Tower

We stayed in the Casitas section for our December 2017 trip, and it had the newly renovated rooms as shown already. They are actually very, very nice. We have stayed at CSR for two previous trips in the business class rooms (now destroyed for the tower!) and these rooms were even more...

    Fall 2016 Bounce Back Offers

It depends on how you look at the bounce back offer and if it fits your vacation schedule. The winter-spring bounce backs have historically been room discounts and the summer-fall bounce backs have been free dining. The free dining plan is a financial boon for us (family of 4) and shaves a...

Free Disney Dining Plan 2017 Questions

Reposted from my thread over in Trip Planning section (the bounce backs with free dining offered this Fall for next year):

    Business Class @ Coronado

I've taken my family and stayed at CSR in business class for the past two years (mid-September timeframe). We've never seen (or heard) anything like what you are describing. Now that you mention it, in our last 4 years of trips, we haven't seen a drunk person at all - even in our one venture...

    Fall 2016 Bounce Back Offers

I browsed several pages and didn't see other posts on this, so I thought I would share. Looks like several sites are showing the bounce back offers for May thru December of 2017...and it's not looking good. Free dining is back but the dates are severely limited. Seems like it would have been...

    Business Class @ Coronado

Congratulations - we've stayed (family of 4) in the business class at CSR for the past two years. The location for the Cabanas 9B makes it along with the size/room amenities. The lounge is nice and my girls love the Snickerdoodle cookies they put out in the evenings. The pool is one of the...

    Coronado or Port Orleans

Between the two different Port Orleans, I'm definitely in the French Quarter camp. It's a much smaller resort, and there is only a single bus stop for the entirety (which makes transportation really nice). The kids really like the Mardi Gras theme for the resort main areas and the pools. One...

    Coronado or Port Orleans

Which Port Orleans? There are stark differences in size, amenities, and transportation between French Quarter and Riverside. I have stayed at all 3 - CSR, PO:FQ, and PO:R (family for the first two and only the wife for Riverside though).

Upcoming WDW Trip...kicked out of Coronado Springs

No need to be rude about your perceived lack of my parenting skills, especially considering you don't know me at all. As a parent, it has and still does give me nightmares about what that child's last moments must have been like and the father who was unable to save him. Pure terrifying...

Upcoming WDW Trip...kicked out of Coronado Springs

I'm with you - I do prefer the smaller resorts. We would still be staying at PO:FQ every year if it were up to me. However....after the second year there (2013), the free dining plan excluded PO:FQ so we decided to try CSR. Our view of CSR is somewhat limited though since we stayed in...

    Coronado Questions

The business class rooms are nice - we've stayed (family of four) in the BC rooms at CSR for the past two years. The rooms replace the table/two chair arrangement with a desk/chair/table lamp and a lounger type chair. This helped out with having space to set up charging station for tablets...

Upcoming WDW Trip...kicked out of Coronado Springs

We've been actually pretty happy with the transportation at CSR - the BC rooms are right at El Centro, so it's like a 30 to 60 second walk to the bus stop. Haven't had any problems catching buses - most likely to us going in 'off season' in September. Hopefully as you are stating, the AKL...

Upcoming WDW Trip...kicked out of Coronado Springs

Kind of reviving an older thread here .... but this happened to our family this week. Received the phone call from Chris @ Small World Vacations (awesome lady and Disney travel services agent btw!!!) indicating that we were being kicked from our Coronado Springs business class room for the 3rd...

DRIVING TO WDW IN SEPTEMBER 2016

Florida has toll roads throughout the state depending on your route, with the Florida Turnpike being one of the largest. You don't need exact change as every station has a manned cashier available. Tolls are in the 1.50 USD range for typical vehicles. We travel from GA and all of our tolls...
