    Thank you for the responses, very helpful. I wasn't aware of the party nights and I did think the disparity between opening times was odd. I also realised after posting that if we went on Tue 6th we'd miss out on the fireworks, water and laser shows. So looks like Mon 5th it is. Thanks again

    Hi @TXDisney - I'm curious about these black out dates. I'll be in Orlando from Dec 3rd to 17th and will only have a chance to spend one day at Magic Kingdom. Would the week starting Mon 5th or 12th be better in terms potentially smaller crowds? Mon 5th is appealing as it's open until 11pm...
