Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

That's a completely different issue than someone with a pre-existing heart condition passing away on the attraction. The attraction causes her anxiety, for different reasons, Lights Motors Action caused anxiety for my father - those types of things aren't in question here. I'm not advocating...

Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

The "system updates" after re-opening has me really bothered. I went back and forth with @Rteetz about this on Twitter, but personally I would absolutely wait until after these are complete before riding this. System updates is vague and unless it's something about queue management and 100%...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

If you don't want a screen based attraction, I think you're going to be upset.

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

I absolutely would have accepted that.

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

One thing Disney has done very poorly in recent years is managing expectations. Why put out a show if the knew criticism was coming? Any teasers they've shown played up the classic Epcot vibe of the show and deliberately avoided the Whole New World section. It's as if the people that assembled...

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

I don't accept this. You can argue that it was a difficult task to put together 37 years of a park into an 11 minute show, but having an orchestra at your disposal combined with a library of audio and you or I could have done a better job. That shouldn't be the case. Imagineers, Featured...

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

Seems like I'm disagreeing with you a lot lately. Disney stated that this was a love letter to Epcot. In the same way they play up movie based IP because of our existing emotional attachment to the stories and characters, that was absolutely the intent here. Play up existing attachments to...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Both are flawed attractions. Some additional things to consider beyond the actual personal preference argument. Na'vi River Journey has very few restrictions for ridership whereas Smugglers Run limits the audience with a height requirement and motion sensitivity concerns. Moving away from NRJ...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

My expectations was that MFSR was going to be on par with Flight of Passage and it most certainly isn't. That being said, putting that pressure on what is by most accounts a D-ticket to anchor an entire land results in additional scorn for the attraction. Had they opened both attractions...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Except by all accounts DAK isn't suffering attendance wise. It's additions since opening have been quality (Dinorama aside) and resulted in sustained growth. This has been definitively not the case at Epcot which has remained pretty close to flat since DAK opened. I agree that it appears...

News My Disney Experience and website to become the only way to make dining reservations

Directly or indirectly, the Next Gen project carried a price tag of at least $2 billion, and Disney has put out publicly that the website updates cost at least $80 million. Several people involved with the project were fired: Tom Staggs, Bruce Vaughn, Nick Franklin.

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

I reject the "build and they will come" premise as the reason why the land is popular. Quality is why the land is popular. By all accounts, the quality of the two attractions in Pandora is superior to the singular attraction currently in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The "build and they will come"...

    Updates to the Seas Pavilion

Thanks. Not that a single attraction is a proof of concept, but I find it hard to believe that familiarity with the IP results in the attendance boost any more than the simple "newness" factor. Iger stated that IP based attractions are safer bets, but I categorically reject that premise. It...

    Updates to the Seas Pavilion

That's not the issue at all. The issue is that The Seas With Nemo and Friends makes no effort to fit into Epcot. At least Turtle Talk with Crush makes an effort.
