You guys clamoring that Dinosaur should stay are probably the ones who thought that Maelstrom was a good attraction as well. While I hate the cheapness that Disney uses on some things, the Indy overlay is smart. I can only hope that it has upgraded effects and a different storyline than DLs
Definitely a viable idea. The only problem is that it would take them 5 years to install it, even though the engineering and install would probably only need 6 months to complete and implement.
The eternal IP debate. If you create something and copyright it, it's your IP, it's automatic! It's whether it fits thematically into a land that's important, not if the original creation has grown into a money making extended entity on its own merit/story.
What they really need to do is update old FL with NFL type detail. It's striking how cheap and tacky old fantasyland looks compared to the new part. The facades at MK feel like a county fair (also compared to DLs FL).
They obviously don't care to spruce it up though. You can barely see the preshow video, and the AA is a joke. I think the last time I rode it in March 2023, the sound was so loud that I left it with my ears ringing. Shining a light on the dinos as you pass them is just dumb. The whole ride is...
I wasn't really singling out this new overlay (which i guess it looks like I'm doing since i thought about build times while looking at the construction pics for Tiana) , but the other projects like NFL, the Epcot neverending overhaul and the 3 year ish GotG build (which took over a completely...
It's been in sad shape, even after the refurb. I have no idea what they even worked on while it was down for a month. Actually all the rides at DL are going down more frequently, but Indy and SM are the two biggest offenders in the park.
Have you ridden indy lately? We live in San Diego and go frequently to DL. Indy is great, WHEN it runs, which is about 50%of the day. The fire effects have been turned off for about 3 years at least, projections in the cave aren't there, sounds aren't synced, and the Boulder effect is on the...
