Just curious if anyone has any info/updates on the Meadow Pool refurb at FW. It will hopefully be reopening soon (says early April). Is it simply maintenance, cleaning, etc or are they upgrading/refreshing anything?
Maybe I'm just a sucker, but I saw the little girl that looks like Mirabel at :04 and got emotional. There's another thread on here "why do we get emotional." I think it's that Disney allows us to be "young at heart" no matter our age, if we have kids, whatever our background is...
PeopleMover ... followed closely by Pirates, HM, WDWRR, and Spaceship Earth. Too many 80s-90s childhood memories on those rides.
Also, I love seeing Living with the Land and Carousel of Progress getting so much love!
Any news, rumblings, inclinations about the blue flag launch returning to FW/WL/CR? Such a bummer you can more or less see CR from FW and you have to take such an indirect route to get there now...
Just dropping in to add a NE Ohio/German/Pennsylvania Dutch family meal. New Year's Eve (and leftover on New Year's Day) is pork and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes and yeast rolls!
Made it for my East Tennessee in-laws last year. They were SO skeptical until they took a bite!
What an interesting perspective. I've never thought of that, but it's 100% true.
One of my favorite things as a kid (haven't been back since 2009 that the train has been running) was being able to hear the whistle from Fort Wilderness. It was like I knew I was at WDW.
I always rode the train with my grandparents and parents when we visited as a kid (my grandpa especially loved trains ... he passed a few years ago). Next May will be my first time riding with my wife and 3-year old (and my parents, now as grandparents themselves). I'm emotional just thinking...
Thought the food at Connections was great. Creative tastes and much higher quality (especially the burger) than other park food.
Went to Flame Tree for the first time in May and LOVED it. Great, quiet, shady spot and solid BBQ.
