There really isn't a downside to renting points if you're using a reputable broker. Some things can be less convenient as others above have pointed out but the money saved is worth it.

Of all the options I would go Plaza. We tried Tonys and Skippers a couple months ago, both were awful.

You can call housekeeping and request a certain time for them to check the room. We give them the time we want for our entire stay, they are very accommodating.
