Not exactly a theme park purchase but I bought these through an auction a number of years ago. This is from my office at work. My students come in and know that I frequent theme parks.
A lot of you really enjoyed my Main Street Field Guide. I've just posted Part II. A thorough study of the Town Square area. Lot's of obsessive details in this round.

My goal for writing these is that I wanted...
I collect a lot of vintage WDW photos from everywhere. I love to see the older images from the 70's. The Magic Kingdom was such a different environment back then.
And if you have any vintage Disney photos I can add to the collection to post please let me know!

I don't know if this qualifies as a "jerk" or not but I do find the "Disney Park Knowledge Arms Race" interesting. A large part of trip planning is that each person is different and wants to have a unique experience.
Wow...thanks. I've gotten an endorsement from Lord Vader.
The rest of my Disney articles will be fully operational over the coming weeks....the Emporer has forseen it.
You are touching on my weakness...I love finding any construction photos. They are surreal and surprising.
I like to find the less circulated ones. I've even seen on some message boards where relatives of deceased construction workers had some photos of WDW under construction and I wish...
I too am glad that I was able to experience Main Street in both the 70's and 80's and yes it felt very different. But I do get enough of the overall essence of the original concept that I am still satisfied with my own personal experience when I visit.
Hey thanks so much. I will go back and make some of the corrections.
The real reason I'm writing these is that I've always wanted something for me to have as a reference on my own walks down MS. And something that really gets into the nitty gritty details.
Fort Collins is a great "town". I went there a few years back when I was hiking/exploring Colorado with my cousin. Now...if we could only see Fort Collins in 1904...then it would really feel like Main Street USA.
