I’ll miss the OG Splash Mountain, but I understand why they want to make this change. Splash Mountain is a really expensive attraction to maintain. Normal parks have difficulties maintaining basic water rides, so I can imagine a water ride with numerous mechanical moving parts, ride vehicles...
I don't think non-resort guests would be viewed as "not worthy". I just think Fastpass should be treated as a perk for people spending their money to stay on property. I mean, if you're gonna hand over $200+ for a clean motel room, it would be nice to get an exclusive perk like that.
Not that...
If I were in charge of this mess, I would simply limit Fastpass to Resort Guests only (and better yet, ADRs too). It wouldn't matter what type of resort you'd stay at either, you'd be able to book fastpasses on check-in day, check-out day, and all the days in between.
A month before your trip...
I've been searching the mouse webs for info regarding how to best view the fireworks and have been seeing a lot of conflicting info! Where do you like to watch them? How long before the show do you get there? When does access to Cinderella Castle close down before the show? How long after the...
I think what people are missing is that, up until this point, Disney World has only offered guests small motel rooms to stay in or nicely themed hotel rooms that are priced as five star resorts (which they are definitely not). There was never an inbetween. Their “moderates” are just slightly...
The cost and value of UOR hotels is so beyond WDW offerings it’s not even funny. I booked 2 rooms at Universal’s Sapphire Falls last summer and upon checkout my parents refused to believe they were only $215 a night rooms lol. Compare that price (for a nicely themed 4 star hotel) with what...
Personally, I think they should just theme the bar to RETURN TO OZ. I mean, it's more thematically appropriate then B&tB. Mombi's heads could line the walls, Nightmarish Wheelers could serve drinks. WHAT COULD GO WRONG???
What does a French fairy tale have to do with a hotel themed to Victorian seaside opulence? Why are they trying to shoehorn IP into places they don't belong? Too many anachronisms/thematic inconsistencies and WDW is gonna start to look tacky...
I don’t think most people would ever want to admit “I can’t afford to go to Disney World” because doing so would mean they are too poor to partake in one of the biggest rites of passage in our culture. So as long as there are credit cards and a desire for Disney “magic” I don’t see crowds dying...
On our last trip this past summer, we got in line for FOP right before the park closed and only waited 35 min! Not too bad and you get to see the awesome queue that you would normally bypass altogether with a FP.
It makes me so sad how most people don't realize how truncated and outdated WDW's offerings are compared to DL. That park is 16 years older and yet their rides look brand new! And their shows and so far above WDW's in quality and production value it's not even funny .
Does anyone know if you visit a park that doesn't have your FP reservations, they'll be cancelled? Like, could we visit a park in the morning without using FastPass there and then hop to the park with our FP reservations and still use them? I haven't been able to find info on this anywhere o_O
Honestly, it's cheaper to purchase a one day ticket to one of the water parks seperately as opposed to upgrading your theme park tickets to "Park Hopper Plus". That's only useful if you're going to park hop and visit the water parks frequently IMO.
