Mid-February/March are usually at the height of Spring Break for many schools, so your choices at the end of January are very good. As long as you stay away from going during a holiday weekend (like MLK weekend), you should have lighter crowds overall.

I've always enjoyed my stays at AKL & WL. If you get a Savannah view at AKL, it is wonderful to wake up & see the animals right outside your window.

Years ago, I walked through the lobby of the GF & thought 'this is wayyyy too upscale for me'. Then I stayed there & my mind was changed. Maybe my tastes have changed over the years? Either way, I do enjoy staying there.

Rider, I was in Disney Springs yesterday morning & witnessed the crowds at TR, as well as the incredible amount of security personnel, whether it was Disney management, Disney security or local police presence. If mainstream media was there to promote this event & thousands of people showed up...
