Has there ever been a study to prove that it is $100m/mile? That figure has been tossed around since the Epcot expansion. I know inflation and all that, but it would be really interesting to see what the real cost is. Even if it is $1b, the cost of improving the customer experience would be well...
Yet it seems they spent significant dollars on DEI efforts that ultimately lost them money. Why not spend it on an infrastructure project that is sure to improve CX. After all, isn't that what Disney is supposed to be about?
It can't be that much for the train sets. I can't believe that they would put so much money into Orlando without ordering new trains at the very least.
I put this in another thread, but I probably should have put it here. With $60B US, is there a chance Disney would be wise and earmark $100M for new Monorail trains and possibly an expansion to AK or Springs?
Wow, this is pathetic. They are trying to drum up excitement to make it seem like they changed everything at Epcot... What did they actually do? They renamed an area into three different areas, put in some pipes to make water squirt, put up a bit of monstrosity of a boxed-shaped building with a...
Another Disney failure. Being a Disney fan is almost exactly like being a New England Patriots fan right now. 20 years of positivity followed by four years of straight disappointment. My expectation balloon has a lot of holes in it!
The on-water display looks fantastic. I wish they would stop using IP so much. The entire show felt forced. That said, I bet I would love it if RoE never existed. The idea of telling a story from front to back with an original score is what made RoE so great. Using IP to do the same thing is...
I just watched it. I had the same reaction. A show that lasted 25 years in various forms and was probably a top 5 attended nighttime show, and it didn't get a mention? I bet you Harmonious was included as a way of saying to Disney fans, "I know you hated it, but we still want you to know how...
I was excited after listening to the YouTube video, and then I read this post. IP is so much a part of all the parks and now more than ever in Epcot. At least keep some of the park's original intent by making the nighttime show all original content. It just feels so lazy to use IP for...
I wonder if the new centerpiece is a prisim similar to the front of the park. Possibly another feeble attempt to keep all Epcot Center puriests believing that Disney is actually making the mess that is Epcot feel like the original park.
The entire 180top should take its queue from the Las Vegas dome screen albeit in reverse. How cool would that look to have more flexibility on that screen. Star Wars weekend would be a killer add in effect on that screen.
