Lol I'm predicting that at some point, the name will be extended to "Disney Adventure World Theme Park" (a la DAK - on the DAK page on the WDW website, the park's name is written down as "Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park")
Updated concept art for the lake area (featuring the lakeside restaurant, Rapunzel tea cups, and Arendelle) has been spotted on the April 12th conference IDs:
The "powering down" sequence near the end received some slight updates:
Also, was d-lighted to find out that Rick McKee (who did the fantastic score for Disney D-Light) worked on this show as well with Jonathan Barr (Mickey's Dazzling Christmas Parade).
Here are Don Dorsey's (MSEP designer) thoughts on DESP:
(The video that was posted on his public fan group was shot near the castle, which probably explains his second comment.)
"Life is composed of lights and shadows, and we would be untruthful, insincere, and saccharine if we tried to pretend there were no shadows." - Walt Disney.
Perhaps the new theme of the Studios is "Hollywood through Disney's Eyes." To be fair, the major Hollywood genres (fantasy, action, animation, adventure if the TLK rumor is true) will be well-represented in the park once it's completed.
As cool as that sounds, they're probably trying to prevent the inevitable comparison of Luminous to RoE. The Inferno barge in action probably looked more impressive than a bunch of scattered isopar shooters (see WoC).
