Starting September 2 (and running during the weekends), the fireworks will be "Halloween Screams", the annual Halloween Fireworks. Monday-Thursday will be the return of Mickey's Mix Magic (with projections). There will be no replacement at this time for the MSEP.

We cancelled based on some of our friend's feedback. One thing to note- if you're one of the front tables for the Dessert party, they are lower and stand a chance for the Wine Country people standing in front of you (near your head level).

I can't see them getting rid of the Matterhorn completely. If we think people are going nuts for a re-theme of Splash Mountain, just have Disney announce they are destroying the Matterhorn, one of Walt's loved rides...I think if it can be fixed, please fix it- just don't retime with Frozen or...

I hope this doesn't mean the parade is going to be exclusive to the After Hours or Party (what ever they will call it) that will take place around the holidays...

i'm one of those APers at DLR... in October, I'll admit, it was horrible. However, Disney has since really worked to correct the issue and since end of October, early November, I've had no issues getting dates I want...they always have come available. Heck, there have been quite a few days...

When seeing the float in person, I can understand why there aren't dancers. There are so many details and sounds with the finale float- if you added dancers, it's a bit too much. I look back at my pictures and see details I didn't see before.

I'm sure you've seen the tons of responses since, but I still wanted to report back- it was awesome! We accidentally got seats right in front of the cameras for the live stream (the cameras weren't in place until after we sat). The winds died down just as the parade ended, giving us Disneyland...

You are also correct- last night was projections only. This is only my assumption- the fireworks were moved 30 minutes (and added pyro) for tonight only- Disney is doing a special live stream event at 830pm, which hints to a special first showing of MSEP, followed by fireworks (of some kind)...

Yep. Tonight states "with fireworks" starting at 930pm. Tomorrow is back to "with projections" at 9pm.

Why would this year be bad? As much as we would love to say otherwise, we know people would throw their money at it- if CA residents don't, people will come in for that. I hate to think I wouldn't be able to watch the fireworks or parade without a ticket, but I wouldn't put it past Disney to do...

If they read the room, it could be- people went nuts for Ooogie Boogie, including for the extended days. Guests are clinging to anything extra Disney throws at them and will spend the money....just not on front gate tickets :)

HA! I just laughed loudly at this because it happened Thurs/Fri the times I rode RotR- I got strange looks when I faced the door we came in on...only to outsmart the whole Transport :)
