I've always wanted to attend a D23 event but am a little intimidated by it all. Also while never having attended in the past I heard they will no longer have people set up to sell Disney merch/collectibles and I would have very much enjoyed that.

Good for you I hope you have a wonderfull time! I don't have any particular plans, but can sense that I am starting to want to go more frequently. How's the weather in Disneyland in August? I was thinking maybe with the schools back in it might be less crowded?
