Have the Trams gone to Yesterland?

Disney is currently testing how much they can milk their guests without losing them forever. The re-opening demand is gone. Attendance has been on the decline for months. The 3-day discounted tickets were intended to reduce that decline. Didn't work. The new Keyholder program is meant to return...

    Monorail Testing

They would have to rebuild the entire beamway and replace all the trains to add A/C. It'll never happen.

Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID Test required for theme parks soon?

You make it sound like "the black community in LA" is some walled-off enclave where the residents only intermingle with each other. We are all here in the same region interacting with each other. We are all a few degrees of separation from everyone else and what happens in one community can...

Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID Test required for theme parks soon?

Disney is requiring all CM's to be vaccinated by the first week of October. Those not vaccinated and without a valid reason for not getting vaccinated will be terminated. There's a shocking number of unvaccinated CM's right now and TDA is already ramping up hiring efforts to replace those who...

News Disneyland Magic Key Program (all pass types will be available to purchase beginning March 5, 2024)

Even though Keyholder reservations may have been fully booked for Saturday the parks were not very crowded. I think it's going to take them a while to figure this system out.

Dining reopening news *(more reopening dates added on 8/4/21)*

Generally speaking, Disney isn't very good at operating restaurants. They are, however, fantastic at creating themed spaces in restaurants. You only find well-run Disney restaurants when they operate outside Disney's standard hiring practices. There aren't many.

They aren't nearly as busy as they were pre-pandemic. Not even close.

Disneyland introduces so cal resident discount tickets for the summer

These discounts remind of the last summer Disneyland was open: 2019. I'm sure you all remember the colossal mishandling of the opening of Galaxy's Edge. The confusing messaging about needing reservations scared people away. Discounts were offered. AP's and CM's became unblocked. It was the...

    Steakhouse 55 Permanently Closed?

DLR seems to be all about their bars and lounges these days. I would bet that Steakhouse 55 becomes some sort of lounge with a much larger bar. The rumor that it will become an expansion of Goofy's Kitchen may be true but I'd bet against it. There's a reason that DLR restaurants and bars tend...

    Disneyland officially reopening April 30th

Have you tried breathing through a water-soaked mask? A few years ago that was determined to be torture so maybe that has something to do with the ride being closed while guests are required to wear masks. I have no idea if that's the actual reason GRR will be closed but I'd like to think Disney...

News Disneyland Adds Alcohol to Blue Bayou Menu

It has always been extremely easy for people to bring alcohol into Disneyland. Whenever you're in the park you are among thousands of people who are experiencing some level of intoxication. That has been true since day 1. The belief that because Disneyland doesn't sell alcohol everyone around...

Avengers Campus - Reactions / Reviews

Having talked to a few animators, I was kind of shocked to learn they mostly consider Aladdin to be the peak of traditional Disney animation. The consistency in character design as well as the (largely) seamless CGI were major factors. The old timers seem to favor Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio...

Theme park group says state guidelines ‘sentence’ laid off and furloughed workers to ‘poverty’ - OCR/SCNG

Federal guidelines do not take local cost of living standards into consideration. If you think a person making a thousand bucks a month in Orange County isn't living in poverty I'm not sure you understand reality.
