What age for a daughter's first WDW trip?

My daughter was 4 when we first took her. She remembers a lot of the trip because we still talk about it. However, I was less than 2 on my first trip (Disneyland) and went frequently. 20something years later, I don't remember any of those early trips at all. My first actual park memories are...

    Maybe it's just my kids...

The only time we ever did a break was on a MNSSHP day. We did AK in the morning, took a nap at the hotel, put on our costumes, and were at MK by 5:30 for the party. Any other time, we usually just go straight on through. We've also claimed some attractions as our "rest" spots. A ride around on...

    MNSSHP - COSTUME DRAMA!

Not sure what age range you are, but one year I did "hipster" mad hater and last year I did Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. People in the 20-30 age range were the only ones (outside of Disney) that had any clue what the Zenon one was.

    Disney 'Bucket List'

For me, no Disney trip is complete without meeting Mickey at least once. And having a churro. I MUST have a churro.

    FIREWORKS???

The beach at the Poly is a good spot. Also, I kind of enjoy watching MK's from the ferry that heads back to T&T from the MK gate (although you have to time it right.) I've also watched them from the docks at Fort Wilderness.

    On the go in MK

I'd definitely go with Cosmic Ray's. My MK day just isn't complete without some food next to Sonny Eclipse. I know a lot of people think he is cheesy or terrible, but I just love it. And don't ask me why, but I could live off the pickles in the toppings bar.

First Trip, So Many Questions, Help!!

Mine is picky too. As am I. There are "weird" Norwegian foods, but also the standard American favorites like Bacon, eggs, cinnamon rolls, bacon, bacon, and did I say bacon yet? They'll find something to eat for sure.

First Trip, So Many Questions, Help!!

It all depends on which Ariel you want. Akershus gets you fancy dress Ariel. Grotto by her ride gets you actual mermaid Ariel. I think all the mermaid lovers are also A&E lovers and are waiting in that terrible 2 HOUR line to meet them. Haha. But hey, more mermaid for the rest of us, right?

First Trip, So Many Questions, Help!!

Forgot to mention that you could also do the princess meal at Akershus in Epcot. The princesses vary, but we've gotten Snow White, Ariel, Mulan, Jasmine, and Belle. That is a good way to knock some out while eating. If you happen to be able to make the 8am res. on a day the park opens at 9, you...

First Trip, So Many Questions, Help!!

You definitely need to use the fastpasses for A&E and rides. Cinderella will be at CRT. As for Ariel, stand by line usually isn't longer than 30 minutes. There is very little reason to use all of your FP+ selections on characters, unless you go often enough and are a "character collector."

    Clarion LBV?

We tend to stay there before our on-property stay starts. I've never had any issues, but I've never used their shuttles either. The breakfast is nice, especially since it is included in the room cost. You can eat as much as you want before heading to the parks.

    Shopping question

They apparently also will not deliver the "You Are Here" mugs from the starbucks locations. I learned my lesson and ended up buying the rest of them right before I was exiting the park.

Wait times at FastPass+ (January 2016)

I forgot about them. That being said...bring EARPLUGS! The groups are usually big and loud. Disney is loud anyway, but Brazilian tour groups are a whole other thing in terms of noise.

How early can you arrive....BOG lunch reservation...

Last month, they told me I couldn't check in earlier than 5 minutes before my time. I had pre-ordered my meal also. It may change day to day, but that's what information I have to offer from my experiences.

Wait times at FastPass+ (January 2016)

I think it is 60 days before your trip. But if you do it as soon as you're able, you'll likely have great times and picks available. I'd suggest fastpassing that if you really want to meet them. The "ticket" to go back is usually what they do for people who are unable to wait in lines for...
