DVC resale prices affected by the current situation ?

Riviera has been selling better, in its first 10 months of sales, than CCV, VGF, and even Poly.

    Coronavirus impact on DVC

I agree with @Club Cooloholic in that the member probably can’t use them, so fair that you pay due to your change.

    Coronavirus impact on DVC

While you might have a case for those 7 points, I personally would not push the issue, but that’s me. We have so many points that 7 really doesn’t make a difference to us, but we can certainly understand others that don’t have as many.

    Inaugural DVC stay

We usually leave $5 on the trash and towel, and $10 for the full cleaning. Our home resort is SSR, and we love it there. Some idiot that thinks SSR is "DVC ghetto" is just that - an idiot. While we do stay at other resorts as well, we've never felt like low rent members when we stay there...

    Need Advice Buying DVC Direct

It's really not that bad. If you buy direct from Disney for any property, you can use those points for RR. If you buy resale at RR, you can ONLY use those points at RR. If you buy any other resale, you CANNOT use those to stay at RR. The only combo of points you could use for RR is direct...

    Need Advice Buying DVC Direct

Actually, RR is selling better in it's first 10 months than pretty much any other resort. From DVCNews: Boosted by its strong sales in January, Riviera has now sold 1,080,166 points, about 16% of the resort’s 6.7 million total points. Its average during its first 10 months of sales of 108,017...

News Evening Extra Magic Hours replace morning EMH at Disney's Hollywood Studios in March 2020

Cue the people who complain that they always get up at the crack of dawn and prefer the morning hours. They will never satisfy everyone.

News Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue replacing Liberty Inn

Except that, at the moment, the Disney website says that no menu plans are accepted. Of course, that will probably change before it opens, but it would be nice if it never accepted them.

    News Disney Riviera Resort announced

Umm, VGC sell for $260/point. VGF is at $245/point. Poly is at $235/point. BLT and BCV are at $225/point. So Riviera, even at $195/point is a bargain compared to those, and it has a longer lease life. Not saying that any of these are worth it, as I don't think they are, but if someone is...

    News Disney Riviera Resort announced

We always book SSR at the 11 month mark, just to be sure we have a place to stay. We actually love the resort, so have stayed there many times, but there are also times we swap out at the 7 month window to stay someplace new. We stay at the Grandstand for similar reasons. We love the quiet...

The math has to be wrong

True, that is a possible drawback, but I would think that when going through David's, that it would be a rare occurrence. Since we already own, we've never rented, but if there ever came a time that we couldn't use our points, we would certainly use an agent like David's to rent them out. Of...

The math has to be wrong

The major brokers, like Davids, have each party sign a contract, so it is extremely difficult for an owner to scam anyone going through them. The problem arises when someone tries to save a few dollars per point, and rents from an unknown source on the internet.

    Boardwalk 2 bedroom...2 bunks?

All of the Boardwalk DVC 2 bedroom units are lockoffs, so a combo of a studio and a 1 bedroom. They would never have any bunk beds in that configuration. I do believe that they may contain a single pull down single bed in the refurbished studios.

    Annual dues

Yes, but with her husband as the primary, and not seemingly willing to allow her to use half the points, she would be better off taking her name off the deed, so she doesn’t worry about dues or hassles with what appears to be a butt head husband. The only other option is to have it spelled out...

    Annual dues

If you simply want to be removed from being responsible for the dues, it appears that you can request removal without his permission. According to the DVC website: If you wish to add a person your deed or delete a person from it, this may require a title transfer. To add or delete a person...
