For our next trip, we would like to try a Deluxe resort - this will probably be our last trip for a long time, so would like to upgrade this one time :) I am drawn to the theme of the Boardwalk Inn. Walking to Epcot and HS sounds very appealing..I have seen pics of the newly refurbished rooms...

So would you recommend getting to the park at rope drop, heading straight for the safari and then doing breakfast right after? I have an ADR for 10:10, but have been trying to decide between keeping that or switching it to 8:00am.

My kids want to have the self portrait character (cartoon) drawings done on our next trip. I've read that there is one at POFQ, but wondered if there was an artist at AKL or Downtown Disney?

We would like to do the Kiliminjaro Safari right when Animal Kingdom opens, and then have breakfast at Tusker House right after. What time should we schedule our ADR for? I wasn't sure how much time to allow for waiting in line, plus the safari and walking time. Thanks!!

I was going to try Be Our Guest for lunch on our Magic Kingdom day, but really don't want to waste 30 min standing in line. My parents really want to try 'Ohana, so we are doing that for dinner instead of BOG...worried I may regret not eating there. I guess we'll see how the lunch lines are when...

That's great to know! I do feel good about both resorts - I just didn't know too much about AKL and if we get the discount, I wondered if it was worth the switch. How was the transportation for you at AKL? Also wondering how far is the walk from the entrance of the lobby to the bus stop?

I should have clarified. My parents are traveling with us (total 7 people), so we will be using 2 rooms.

I would love to stay at Wilderness Lodge, but the discounts lately haven't been as good as AKL. Trust me, If WL offered 30% off room rate like AKL has been doing, than we would switch in a heartbeat.
