    Coral Reef disappointment

It is really a shame about the "wave". this particular dessert was the only reason why we ever ate at the Coral Reef.

Any idea what they are changing at Liberty Tree during its rehab?

LT is such a good restaurant! My family and I were a tiny bit dissappointed on our last visit because we were expecting a normal menu for dinner and got a character dinner instead. Not a big deal but the food is so good on the regular menu that it was a bummer to eat "family style".

    Life after Katrina

So glad that you asked I don't personally need anything but there are alot of people here that do. Our community hasn't really seen anything from FEMA and Red Cross. There were 1.5 million people displaced by the hurricane and out of that number less than 200,000 are in various shelters around...

    Life after Katrina

We stayed through Katrina, 45 miles from New Orleans. Today is the first time I am able to go on-line as we just got our electricity back on (but most importantly cable for the modem;)). The parish (county to those of you not familar with Louisiana) that I live in was one of the areas now...

they bulldozed 20k for poohs place?

Although many can not see the need for a playground area, I disagree. The toddler group will really love and appreciate this area and it will also give parents (or other adult superviser) and nice rest period from the "i want", "can we", "but you said", "I need" ramble of the day.

    Hurricane

I wish we could go to Disney for this one! We live 45 min from Downtown New Orleans but we are actually above sea level and hopefully far enough in shore to just enjoy some gusty wind:lookaroun Good Luck to all those in the greater N.O. area.

What to do in Houston TX?!

The Travel Channel and many other travel advice institutions rank this particular park #1 among water parks. It is widely known that this particular park has cutting edge attraction technology and that specific technology is sought after by many other top ranking names in the amusement industry...

What to do in Houston TX?!

Not necessarily... If you purchased the tickets online (of course you run the risk of rain) it should not be an issue. We were just there and managed to complete both sides in a day. The only long line was for the Master blaster. Still, just an idea;) How often are you near the #1 water park???

    Primeval Clone

I see it as a tad bit insulting to be on a clone ride from another park. I have always thought that Disney was cutting edge, that they had a neighborhood of think tanks whose sole purpose was to create cool innovative attractions for Disney alone. Now I feel cheated:cry:

What to do in Houston TX?!

Thre hours to the west of Houston is Schlitterbahn's Water Park. It is ranked the est in the country and is sitting on 65 acres of fun. That could be a really great time for you and the kids. I will second the vote on Goode's BBQ! :slurp: But if you aren't up for driving, AstroWorld (6...

    Poncho uses?

We have always used them again and again. Last year we took a January trip and surprisingly, it was warm during the day but sometimes cold at night. Not wanting to return to the hotel for warmer clothing, we used the ponchos to keep us warm. So see, if you're stuck out, they can serve a double...

    Food In The Parks

People bring food into the parks all of the time via backpack. I wouldn't advise carting around an ice chest (that's not likely allowed;))
