I jinxed it. I now sit at home with no power and therefore no A/C.

Currently 101 here with a heat index of 111. Are you guys on the ERCOT grid? How’s it holding up? We live in TX but are on the Southeastern power grid. I also misread it the first time and was like “why is @Darstarr telling me to join this guy grabbing thread”?!

Great report! We played winter summer land a few years ago and had a different type of guest join us. That villa looked really nice. Sometimes it’s good to have a nice slow vacation, but it is tough being so close to the parks and not going!

For all my friends who are suffering through this heat wave, just a reminder.

What’s a Mall? Really though I didn’t think I’ve actually been in a mall in about a decade. I visit the Dick’s at our mall occasionally but always just use the store entrance.

Wednesday was pickle’s 9 year “gotcha day” with us! I can’t believe she’s been with us for nearly a decade! She’s slowed down just a step since then, but she still likes to go on adventures every now and then!

I just introduced my 10 year old nephew to that movie last weekend. It’s now his favorite movie! 🤣

Very true. Although I was mostly thinking from a spectator’s perspective. Several hours in a hot football stadium during July sounds miserable!

The San Antonio competition is a good one, plus it’s indoors! Not sure about McKinney, I went to that show once but can’t seem to remember much about it. Seems like it was mostly at night though. I can’t imagine being out in that heat during the day!
