When we drove (DE to FL), we always stopped in Savannah and did a day there. Its a beautiful little city with great restaurants and amazing sites. Plus the next days drive is pretty short in comparison.

If you have small kids who can't wait in lines longer than 30 minutes it is worth it. If your family can follow a touring plan and wait in some lines it is not. I found with my 5 year old son, it was worth every penny.

I was there Nov 5 - 13th and also stayed at AoA. I agree using the 30 min early entry is key. However, I also used genie plus and individual lightning lanes. So I also can answer anyone's questions.

I am also going the 5th-14th and booked this week way before they announced the return of the race. Since this is the first race in a while I am not sure what to expect. I haven't seen any release of how many racers they are allowing either. just gonna cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Not necessarily. There are restaurants that I would not recommend even though they take a long service because the food isnt up to snuff. I also wouldn't discount a quick service just because it is a quick service. But you are right on average you are bound to get a better meal at a sit down...
