Boat Confirmed! I spoke to someone @ Port Orleans Riverside yesterday, and they confirmed that the boat to Downtown Disney is in operation, contrary to a rumor I had heard (read) elsewhere. They also confirmed that the main pool on Old Man's Island is also open and in operation, also...

We're going to be arriving @ WDW on 9/23, staying in PO:RS - does anyone know if the boat is running from Port Orleans to Downtown Disney right now? I would appreciate replies from anyone who has been there recently, and can reply to this. THANKS:)

I have to say, I have been to Disney 4x, and have not had any negative experience w/ANY CM on or off property. In fact, we were there in 9/99 (?) when a Hurricane (Floyd?) was expected to hit Florida, and then CMs did a FANTASTIC job of taking care of the guests in the resorts, tho I am certain...

Who's going to be @ WDW in September (next month!) We (me, DH and DS (15)) are there 9/23 - 9/28, staying at Port Orleans Riverside. If anyone's interested, maybe we can schedule a time to "meet and greet" each other.

Has anyone stayed at PO Riverside very recently? We usually stay at CBR, but due to the rehab are moved to PO Riverside for the last week of September - are the river taxis to Downtown Disney running? If not, what is the transportation between POR and DTD? Thanks!:confused:
