They announced dates for their refurb. It was supposed to be running again this week and I planned a day at AK with a fastpass for the ride. They failed to finish their refurb on time . Their fault .

It's on me that Disney forces me to book in advance if I want to have the slightest chance of dining or doing the ride I want ?! And the parks are PACKED at the moment .

Thank you for your well argued post. My ultimate point was that Animal Kingdom should be much more of a priority from enhancement than Epcot which I think is just fine. Not amazing but fine. But once you've gone to animal kingdom a couple times and know it well . There isn't much to do.

Except I knew dinosaur would be down the first week I was there and planned accordingly . But then they extended the refurb and it ruined the second day I planned there.They expect us to plan 6 months in advance but can't commit to their own plans .

But I don't hate the park. The potential is there but maintenance is bad and the park lacks rides. Pandora will help but they need to keep building .

True ... The lion king is an amazing show. And it saved my afternoon when we had nothing left to do. But it and Safari aren't really repeatable ... They can only be done once every year/two years IMO.

We should talk more about animal kingdom ... People seem to complain all the time about Hollywood studios and Epcot but I think Animal Kingdom is the worst offender in WDW. Seriously I don't know what's going on but the park is an empty shell right now . If it wasn't for the animal...

Has the quality of the team members drastically decreased in just two years ? I don't have any specific bad memories about any team member from my 2014 trip but today ... Wow ... I've never been treated this poorly in a theme park EVER. And I've been to Disneyland Paris over 50 Times in 24...

But I read the hurricane policy on the official website and they said " If you are scheduled to arrive within 7 days of a hurricane warning, you may call us in advance to reschedule without a Disney imposed change fee." The alert was issued yesterday IIRC so it could work, couldn't it ?

Why NOW though ? we were going to wait till tomorrow night (french time) to make the decision to see how things go in Florida. You never know what can happen with a hurricane.

Do you guys think Disney would give me a full refund for my two week stay if I was meant to arrive on Saturday ? My family and I are coming all the way from France and we're not sure we want to leave our beautiful weather behind us to come to a devastated area and risky area ... We might not be...
