Well, one thing that bothers me specifically is that even though they’re getting what they want, people on the anti-Splash side still feel the need to put fans down just to pile it on some more. As a fan, it just feels like we can’t get a break sometimes.

You guys get on me for saying modern Imagineering is inferior (with some exceptions) while admitting that they can’t build lengthy rides nowadays and excusing it. Don’t expect me to have faith in them ruining my favorite attraction when you yourselves don’t even trust them.

I will say that I would be slightly more accepting towards the whole retheme idea if fans of the current ride got anything significant to compensate for it. But we’re not going to, so….

I don’t approve of the demonization of the current ride either. The fact that even people in this thread have it in their top 10 says something.

Why is my main point being ignored? Disney could make an incredible Moana ride if they wanted to, but I don’t think anyone wants it to be a replacement for Pirates. It’s the principle.

Disney has potential to make an incredible boat ride featuring Moana. What if they decided to just retheme Pirates to Moana to get it? That’s my point.
