My husband is a Public Safety Training Instructor and has made comments about how the metal detectors at DHS are older than what is used in the prisons for GDC.

What kind of renovations would the barber shop need? Fresh paint? New chairs, shelves, and fixtures? I've never set foot in there so I don't know. When was the last time it closed for refurbishment? I hope Disney doesn't permanently close it.

So glad I scheduled my son's very first haircut during the last week of January! DH and I have been looking forward to this day for a while. :) We have never stepped foot in there either! I've heard nothing but good things about the experience.

If they can fix things like this, and bring back those SMALL magical touches that sets Disney apart, I'm all for it. If I can't have a new ride, I will take a refurbished theme park in the mean time.....especially Main Street! I agree with you 110%!

I have never stayed at either resort. But if it were up to me, I would choose the Poly because of the convenience of the monorail. I would much rather be on the monorail than shoved on a bus with all those people after a loooong day at the park.

I have said this before on another thread that my friend who is a CM in Tomorrow land at WDW said there will be a major refurb once Fantasyland is complete. I don't know who is sources are but I would like to think it can/will happen. SGE needs to go....
