So if I said part of Epcot smells terrible, could you guess where that was?

I didn't smell anything bad that I would attribute to something related to the park itself. To be frank, the only offensive odors were from other visitors to the park. People not wearing deodorant and baking in the hot Florida sun can get pretty ripe. This is also true of toddlers in need of a...

    Crowded parks?

I think too that perception of 'crowded' can be subjective. Everyone has their own tolerance levels. I used to be a season pass holder at a major theme park and I noticed that some people's definition of crowded meant not having the entire park to themselves. I also think that where you are from...

Grossest thing you ate at the parks?

Actually I think the food was better than what you typically find at the averge theme park. I was glad they had fruit options for snacks. Theme park food is usually greasy and laden with fat and calories. Disney was no exception but they have a much more diverse lineup with healthy entries. I...

    Crowded parks?

It was fairly quiet. We were in the 50s section. The only noise was from running water when people took showers.

    Crowded parks?

Third week of september. Magic Kingdom was crowded for all five days. Other parks were busy but the magic kingdom was insanity level. It was more crowded than any other theme park i have ever visited. Long lines for everything-rides, food, even restrooms at times. After about 11 am you could...

    Crowded parks?

I stayed at the Pop Century. It was filled. Probably because it is one of the least expensive places to lodge. The good thing about the lodge is that it has three pools. I don't think they could fit everyone into just one. It was very hot so a lot of people were swimming.

Grossest thing you ate at the parks?

I didn't eat anything I would consider gross. Most of the food was ok as far as theme park fare goes. The only thing I didn't care for was the lunch I had at the Mexican pavilion in Epoct. I enjoy Mexican/Hispanic food but the chicken and rice dish I got was not that appealing. It was too salty...

    Thorough bag checks

Not necessarily. When I was going through the non-bag check line where you walk directly into the park past the guard, one of the guards stopped the guy in front of me asking what he had in his pocket. The guy was Chinese, I believe, and didn't understand or didn't hear him and he kept walking...

    Crowded parks?

It was crowded in mid September. We picked that date because we were told it was one of the best times to visit for crowds. But it was shoulder-to-shoulder in Magic Kingdom most of the time. The resort we stayed at seemed to be at max capacity.

    Attraction ideas?

I would like to see more characters out and about in the park. Besides the aggressive crowd size, the lack of characters walking around was the most glaring difference between my recent visit and that in 1992. I know this would be a big challenge as with the large crowds they would get mobbed...

What KIND of attraction do you enjoy best?

When I was younger, I used to love thrill rides, coaster, etc...Now I prefer rides with character rather than record-setting type stuff. I really enjoyed the splash mountain ride. Funny and also fun. I rode Space Mountain for the first time. On my visit in 92 I never made it on. It was fun but...

    What has become of Disney?

Well, I am sure they have a system that sorts the issues and prioritizes them. Most likely they devote immediate attention to people having issues in the parks or resorts themselves. The other issues or questions they probably have a queue where they are taken in order received. When I was in...

    What has become of Disney?

Maybe it's that they are interested but just don't have the resources to deal with the volume of people with comments or complaints. Which goes back to my point that perhaps the franchise has grown too popular too quickly for their own good. Disney of the past vs Mega Disney of today. At least...

    What has become of Disney?

That could be true. Based on accent or languages I heard on the shuttle buses and in the parks, it seemed like a majority of park goers were visiting from South America or England. I noticed that tour groups were also a bit common. There was one very large group of folks I think was from either...

    What has become of Disney?

You came on the discussion mid-stream. The discussion we were having was not about technical issues with the bands, which I had. It was about Disney using them to track movements around the park or what purchases are made, which I personally have no problem with. I am getting the impression...
