Litany of 2026 parks / resorts deals - is this unprecedented?

Deluxe Hotels, as a resort or as a place to sleep, are completely over priced twice over at least. What you're paying for is Disney branding and location. Obviously your call if that's worth while. I only do it when I get a good deal.

Did I see a picture somewhere of concrete forms being dropped off? Anyone see them being used anywhere?

Litany of 2026 parks / resorts deals - is this unprecedented?

I think all the standard discounts Disney hands out like the room rates discounts and free dining are basically walking into Kohls - you have the listed price and the actual sales price (which is the real price). Anything beyond that is an actual potentially good deal like the buy 4 get 2 or...

    News Cool Kids' Summer

I wasn't planning on a WDW vacation this year, but I put down a tentative reservation on a 6 night stay at Kidani resort view with a 1BR villa. 4 adults 1 kid, hoppers, 6 nights, QSDP and memory maker and it was "only" $9,300. It's about a $2000 savings if we were going to do this last year...

You have to weight the cost of the dining plan vs the savings you get from either deal. In my scenario of a family of 5 with only 1 disney kid, that's basically $400 a night. It'll depend on your party and hotel you're staying in.

Basically any promo you see from Disney can be booked with a TA or directly on their website. Any promo you see only from a TA is usually them taking money from their profit margins.

Yes they book directly with Disney on a separate website. No idea how expedia etc work. I assume they are given an inventory but I don't think I've ever seen them sell tickets.

A package is just hotel and tickets purchased together from either a TA or on the WDW website.

Sure. I hope this is a potential precursor to bring back the ticket discount levels of pre-COVID. The tipping point of of where adding an extra day was trivial is now at the 6 and 7 ticket range vs. the 4 and 5. Pre COVID I could add a whole day for 4 people for an extra $20 total or something...

    News Cool Kids' Summer

I did some spreadsheeting again, for 2 adults the New Room/Ticket Deal is better than a 30% discount on a $361 room at 6 and 7 nights/days. 30% discount is better at 8/9/10.

Free dining is still a better deal assuming a larger family in a single room as well as assuming you want to eat that way. Also all numbers are non-hopper.

Here's the math for my family as an example. Used 4 adults, 1 kid, 5th sleeper at CBR June 19th:
