That was actually the land where the new theater was going to go. The access to it was just going to be via the MainStreet overflow corridor, and not Tomorrowland.

It is if they put the new location smack dab in the middle of the park, on a corridor that everyone uses to go to World Showcase.

I imagine that's the new MouseGears with a sculpture on top of it.

LOL!! Given the way the meet & greet (Character Spot) location is designed at EPCOT, and seems to work very well, I would imagine this is the new location.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking as well. They wouldn't demo MouseGears unless they had something much better in mind. Putting the retail location right in the middle of the corridor would certainly do the job.
