Are we sure that Disney didn’t intentionally feed them this information to leak so that when they announce the real plans at D23 it makes what they actually do announce look better?

Yeah there’s just way too many inconsistencies with these new rumors for me. The timelines, the fact that very little in this proposal was actually “plussed” as the initial rumor suggested. To be blunt, the rumors presented here read like an old pitch for the land that were scrapped awhile ago.

Yeah between that response and the social media buzz Dark Universe was getting well before Universal even officially announced it I think made Disney realize that there’s a real market in this space and they want a piece of that pie.

A key difference between that and this is that when HW turned JP into JW it was treated as a full on ride closer for JP, like Dino to Indy or Splash to TBA, this is just being labeled as standard refurb.
