I didn’t say soon or as a phase 2? I was highlighting that there are other ways to plausibly develop the northwest corner of the park in the long term. They could do this modest overhaul for 2026 and still open a new area in 8 or so years that doesn’t include the 2026 area.
Some have it in...
I tend to agree that this overhaul seems like a placeholder project, intended to last until the later years of the 10-year, $60 billion investment plan (with $17 billion earmarked for WDW). That said, there's still plenty of land for Imagineering to work with, even if the 1989 animation building...
Apologies if this was mentioned already, but Bioreconstruct's latest photos seem to show that the courtyard adjacent to the POTC queue has been enclosed:
Here's some images of the courtyard in question from a recent-ish refurb...
The more I look at things, I’m struck by how much of the post show has been walled off or shrunk down. It’s odd.
The first room after the photo pass screens is particularly weird. They went from this:
To this:
The ceiling is substantially lower & crappier (ACT vs the slat system they...
A variant of Phantom Manor’s ceiling reveal seems like the most logical way to change the “my way out”. Especially in a post-hatbox ghost-in-the-hallway world
Have a glowing spirit lean over the space from the window, laughing. You could even plus it with a projection effect of a spirit...
Couldn't find this posted anywhere else but there's noticeable construction going on at the Epcot bus stops.
It appears a new bus stop (?) is being constructed just west of the current bus stop 1. The dirt mound has been stripped back in the area.
Additionally, the bus service building...
Didn't think "hero" sculptures in the gardens or light projections/artwork in the hall was that difficult of a lift. Thanks, Kartika for proving us wrong!
What the hell even happened to those promised festival sculptures? Somehow the 8th most visited park in the world can't even afford the...
Purely speculation, but I would not be surprised if the Liberty Square market moves to the current boathouse and the existing market structure is demolished for an expanded pathway.
There will be a lot of traffic going to that new Cars/Villains pathway built to the right of the boathouse.
I wonder if wires got crossed on the Triceratops Spin thing. Perhaps it was intended to replace MV3D if the Monsters coaster building is built behind Mama Melrose?
As is, there's not enough clearance for TS and circulation paths back in the Muppets Courtyard. Even if you demo Stage 1, there's...
It’s odd that Disney wouldn’t consider putting a new iteration of the Magic of Animation back into the Launch Bay building as a stop gap until AC is ready for redevelopment.
Is launch bay truly more popular than the animation exhibits were?
