Let’s see how the HKDL/gov response to these questions by a public regarding the latest update of the HKDL. For those who can’t read chinese, the letter stated several questions, including
1. Is the government...
It seems like the FEA building is finished...I think the Elsa castle and two mountains above FEA and the coaster will be built outside the site. Once they arrived, the land will be nearly finished.
The park already reserve area for Downtown Disney (since 2005).
I think the purpose is to prevent competitors (like universal) build theme parks next to HKDL.
Latest reply from the government regarding expansion plan and phase 2.

- ‘Marvel area’ is still here but didn’t mention the e-ticket attraction.
- Will make announcement for the option arrangement regading the site...
I don’t think HKDL is going to shut down as the situation of Ocean Park is much worse than HKDL. However, I concern how the sanctions that Trump may impose affect HKDL future.
The original expansion plan announced in this year will be postponed. If the marvel e-ticket ha not been built in coming months, I’m afraid they will cancel the ride to retain cash flow. It’s not impossible if the government and disney agreed to focus on operation.
I remember someone (from this forum?) said there will be two marvel rides coming to HKDL. So, there might be another ride in the left side or a mini land in next expansion (I hope they will announce another small expansion plan in 2022-23, like what they did in 2013)
Part of the people (especially young generation).
I’m wondering why HKDL doesn’t offer airport shuttle since it’s not easy to take public transport from HK airport to HKDL.
