Remote working at WDW & in-room desks disappearing?

I would encourage you to send your comments to: wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com I received the following response: Mar 10, 2024, 2:13 PM EDT Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and are sorry...

Remote working at WDW & in-room desks disappearing?

I sent comments and my disappointment about the desk removals. Neither of the rooms at these Deluxe hotels have any kind of table or in-room flat surface that could be used to work or even eat on. I guess the intent is for people to sleep, shower and use the bathroom in the rooms, but do...

Remote working at WDW & in-room desks disappearing?

Very true. I've stayed at a few hotels at Flamingo Crossing and Disney Springs, and many of these do have desks in the rooms, or at least last time I stayed at them. Many of these have bigger rooms too. My guess would be they assumed these aren't needed as much and take up needed space. I did...

Remote working at WDW & in-room desks disappearing?

When I was there last week, the Yacht Club and Boardwalk convention centers were both full and every room was in use by M&M/Mars/Wrigley. I went to both to see about getting a quite space for an hour and was turned away.

Remote working at WDW & in-room desks disappearing?

My wife and I just returned from a back to back stay at Grand Floridian and Boardwalk. Both hotels have had recent room renovations that we really enjoyed, for the most part. However, it seems that in the renovation a decision was made to remove the desks in the rooms. I understand Disney World...

News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

I was thinking something more automated. Using AI or similar technology to "read" the audience and perform a unique show that hasn't been done before. It would incorporate some of those other capabilities but done in a way that it would require a lot less human input. A quick search came back...

News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

I'm not sure if we're "re-imagineering" here, but one of the things I would like to see in the new version would be interactivity with the audience reactions. I think the technology exists or at least Disney should be able to make the Bears respond and react more with the audience. For example...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

There was a rumor that Disney tried to meet with the governor's staff before everything went to the legislature. Supposedly, the governor's people told Disney to "pound sand". It is quite disappointing considering what Disney has done for the state for so many years.

It's not that long. There are longer cable car runs across the world.

It would be great if there was a MK parking lot loop, or just a line that went straight to the parking lot from the TTC. So, it would leave the TTC, then head for the center of the parking lot.

News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

Any chance the new version will be getting a randomized show where they play from a list of different songs? That would give it some longevity and a bit more variety especially if they threw in an original song from time to time. Also, how about some seasonal music as well? Christmas Country...

Have you seen the Skyliner and how they handle these? It can be done.

I would be curious to see a list like this as well. Not sure it exists, but maybe someone here can provide something. I think this first year was spent with a lot of political squabbling over their effective powers. It's not exactly Disney necessarily, but the first big change that comes to...

I wasn't arguing whether they were woke or not. Just that Desantis labeled them as such and tried to fight them on it on the national stage to leverage his campaign.

Disagree. Desantis tried to leverage the "woke agenda" and fighting Disney which is part of Hollywood as part of his political campaign. He was hoping it would win him favor with the far right and send a message and make him look strong to the rest of the nation.
