I've driven that for 30 years. I couldn't disagree more, for all the worry in planning that overpass has worked out well. And there are plenty of side streets that run parallel (like the one that takes you to the Chickie n Petes area) where you can exit off 70/73 early.
We were there 8/19-8/28. We waited no more than 25 minutes for any attraction. The only exception was Splash on 8/27 ahead of the Boo Bash when apparently it had been down all day. It opened up around 6 and we waited 40 minutes.

Agreed. We had a cruise cancel and decided to do a beach/park vacation in FL and when the numbers started to spike in June we cancelled and will be spending a week in Wildwood Crest. Plenty of social distancing on Wildwood's beaches.
