Man, I wish we had a clearer photo of the pillar scene. I just looked at the Ken Anderson illustrations and for the first time it was clear to me how the scene was meant to be staged. Hopefully they turn up one day!

Yeah, I figured. I was able to find one video where you can just barely make out the Pterodactyl which is better than nothing. I also heard that they were both deactivated for that same reason (along with effects elsewhere like the cyclists in Small World) but you would think it would be easy...

Something else I wonder about is the original Tink figure that flew around Neverland on a motor attached to a track of some sort. Anybody have any photos of her? I know WDW had a flying Tink at load until I want to say the early 90s and I’m wondering if they were cast from the same mold.

I’m shocked nobody has mentioned the heffalumps in Winnie The Pooh! That scene is unsettling in a way that’s difficult for me to describe lol

Does anybody have any clear video footage or even photos of the old jumping compsognathus or the pterodactyl when it still moved on Countdown to Extinction? I’ve tried and I have never seen any especially of the former and I would love to see what they looked like in action!

Can you elaborate at all on this? I had heard vague “structural issues” as a possible reason which never made sense to me considering WDW’s Mansion is newer than DL’s.

The chickens and the alien puppet in the second room on Buzz are from If You Had Wings/Delta Dreamflight, the first floor of the old Tomorrowland Skyway station, the old docks for the keel boats and the canoes in Frontierland/Liberty Square

you can still make out the basic layout of the preshow and stage area of Kitchen Kabaret in the Soarin’ queue/exit!

I’m almost 100% sure this is the case. As someone who’s heard the WDW audio many, many times, the “Fire Mr. Smee!” you hear in Neverland sounds near identical to what’s heard in the DL original

I wish more than anything we had this sort of documentation on the other pre ‘83 FL dark rides!! It’s incredibly lucky that somebody managed to record the full audio of Alice; I fear the original audio to some of the other dark rides may be lost to time. I’ve seen a few still images of pre-83...

Where can I find the original, unedited audio recording?? I know it’s used in the VR recreation, but that also utilizes audio from the film which might make it harder to hear some of the original mechanics and such.
