This was talked about quite a bit in the annual refurbishment thread. But it was chalked up to Disney being cheap/lesser quality work as seen all over property these days. I thinks that’s significantly more likely than them deciding to refresh half the mountain and leave the other half untouched...

Based on how they did a terrible job refreshing the outside based on photos on blogmickey and reports from the other site about the interior, I 100% think this is what’s happening. Letting it rot until they retheme it.

They haven’t sold Splash merchandise (with very limited exceptions) since they sold out of their initial inventory after re-opening. I’d be shocked if they had any new splash merchandise ever again.

I just replied to you on this. No they aren’t. Brer Bear snuck onto one design. That’s it. All Splash Mountain merchandise has been removed and is no longer being sold. One oversight design is an exception not a rule.

So since we didn’t hear anything about this during D23 I assume the ride isn’t going down in 2022. It’s been a while since it’s last refurb and it shows. We thinking they are just gonna run this into the ground until closing or will we ever see another winter refurb?
