The fine print says:
"Magic Key holders who have a park reservation for both theme parks may cross over and switch between parks on the same day beginning at 1:00 PM."
So that makes it sound like to park hop, you need two reservations.
I am currently teaching this quarter at a UC, and yesterday they sprung on us that all in-person finals are cancelled... My final was scheduled for this Saturday 😒. So I had to quickly scramble and figure out what I would do instead. It's been a messy week.
So I went on the ride today and it gave me a two hour return window, so my guess would be 2 hours after 8:30, i.e. 9 hours of operation.
So some quick and dirty math:
9 hours of operation * 1,100 riders per hour = 9,900 riders.
On the other hand, with an assumption of 100 riders per boarding...
So I don't know what causes them to use which number as the first boarding group, but you'll notice that yesterday, 12 was the first boarding group, and 82 and above were the backup ones, and today the first bg is 5 and the first backup bg is 75.
82-12=70
75-5=70
So I think that's the pattern...
The lines for the booths were really long, I can't imagine many of them got boarding groups.
EDIT: Didn't mean to attach this image to this post, and can't seem to delete it. This site doesn't seem to work very well with mobile devices.
Interesting. May I ask how you got this information?
Also, for those who are curious, they didn't start letting people onto the ride until closer to 9:00. Currently they're boarding groups 12-23.
I don't know about parking, I took the bus. But I would get here ASAP. There's already a lot of people here and boarding groups are gonna go fast once they open up at 8:00.
