I mean obviously they have a way to do certain maintenance on it. Anything that would have to be dealt with on a nightly basis, or through a few continuous days of work. But it's not entirely unbelievable that Disney saw their 25 foot animatronic Yeti as "too big to sink" as the saying goes.

Honestly I do. The designed the mountain to never have a significant breakdown and never need to go down for maintenance beyond some overnight repair. Obviously, that has failed with the breaking of the Yeti. And now Disney is caught with their pants down.

As a former Cast Member, this was my understanding of the problems as well. Or at least how it was explained to me. The attraction is separated into three parts: the mountain, the track, and the Yeti. I've seen posts where it's been said that the Yeti has been removed from the attraction two...

Just read through the whole thread and man are there a lot of opinions here. While I can see a side for almost all the stances, there are a few thoughts I had whole reading 1) It seems to me the same people who are reminding everyone that Walt wanted Disney World to be a vacation for everyone...

Wasn't implying that the theatre had problems. I was just updating people on the fact that the walls in Asia were taken down

As of today, 4/11/2016, construction walls outside of Expedition Everest have been taken down. Still construction walls near Theatre in The Wild, and into Dinoland

I'm not sure if it was originally reported but back in August, the load steam effect was disabled. As of this past Friday, 03/10, it has been fixed

Can't agree more. Especially from someone who is in school for IT, it is horrendous and not user friendly in the slightest. This has always been a problem for the company, and instead of trying to fix it, they seem to add more just making it more confusing

Do all you can! None of the rides are exactly the same in each place and because you're in Disneyland instead of WDW, you're going to get a completely new experience with each and every attraction you go on. And I wouldn't try to compare the two parks. Just take each one as they are and enjoy...

Pretty soon we won't even need to go to the parks! They'll probably make an app so we can experience all the rides in Virtual Reality
