I was there last Sunday when they were filming it at MK, it was pretty neat. Probably not so much for the cast members, because it was still going strong at closing time.

In it's heyday, it was definitely an experience like no other, (a friend of mine saw this thread, and said it was Disney's Dave and Busters on steroids) Between the 80's arcade, the bumper cars with cannons, the remote controlled car Indiana Jones styled treasure hunt thing, not to mention...

I kind of always feel that's EXACTLY what happens with every animatronic once the very last guest has exited!

I don't know if they're technically considered animatronics, but two pages in, and no one brought up/mentioned the dolls of "It's a Small World" so far, and that's progress........In all seriousness though, between the spiders, and the "bugs" that run under the benches, I've never seen so many...

I'm not going to go through all 13 pages, (I went through 3) but in response to the OP, it's a big Y-E-S for me that the movie refurbishment pretty much ruined the ride for me and my family in some ways. I don't mind the Davy Jones "mist curtain" (when the projection is actually working), but...

Meh. Rode Kali years ago once, and that was enough. I was really hoping it would be something at least on par with White Water Canyon from King's Dominion in Virginia (there's videos on YouTube, definitely check it out!)

I'm not sure if it was ever a manufactured scent, or naturally made, but the musty smell while going through the queue, (for Pirates) disappeared years ago, strangely around the same time Spaceship Earth lost the Rome "burning" smell......coincidence?? Yeah, probably!

Well, from the video it looks ten times better then The Little Mermaid ride, so I guess that's a plus?
