Love this upgrade, for all the complaining about the little things its nice to see it still being done right in some cases.

Am I the only one who wishes just a little Soarin Over Cali came back to WDW for a bit with that original soundtrack? Not that the new one isn't wonderful, but that original....

Yes you can but it is still only good for the length of the pass

And if you listen to Len a bit (whom I wish would be around the boards more!) he often gets shut out of media events because of the nature of his coverage

I love a split stay for a long trip! Even do it on the mid-size ones sometimes just for fun :) Its a change to experience different areas of the resort you might not get to see all the time.

I don't know if it was intentional, but I don't think its necessary to hide them from people driving by. As a matter of fact I'd want people going wow floating mountains how much does it cost to go see those.

All I’m saying is the stock is most likely overvalued and the EPS is off for comparable companies so unless they do something it may see quite the correction…some of these measures are clearly directed to address that

Well when you look at the numbers overall from 2019 (obviously pre-pandemic) Walt Disney Company had 155 million visitors to Universals 51 million worldwide. The Magic Kingdom alone had 20.9 million visitors, Universal Orlando was at 10.9 and IOA at 10.3. Putting all other factors and quality...

Also having been with a few first-timers, I think you'd be shocked about how many are 'blown away' by the Haunted Mansion and its a small world even today. We take this stuff for granted because we're veterans and theme park junkies, but the majority of the population has never seen anything...

No but for a traditional dividend company like Disney the lack increase in stock value creates capital and credit problems, so they do need a more than inflationary increase year over year. I would argue that many of the moves they are making including the Fox acquisition, refurbishments...

I think the true nostalgia and rose-colored glasses happen when we look back and think that Disney as a public company wasn’t about profit from the start. Visionaries we’re balanced by bean counters and it almost went sideways more than a few times even when Walt was alive. Not an excuse...

If people had seen the IP behind both they might feel differently, both are still very cool in my book :)

After posting here for a long time its still my favorite board, but there are a lot of 'dang kids get off my lawn' people who will always see change as bad because it doesn't align with their ideal vision. It helps not to argue with them because you can't change their minds, many times...

There are so many things in the area you really should experience, I even got a kick out of LEGOLand with the kids. I don't understand why with many Disney fans it has to be one or the other. The recent moves by the company say to me that they are at a place where they aren't concerned about...

I think the Star Cruiser is going to be their main focus but I don't think a 5th park is even really feasible from an operations perspective. And I've said before on other threads I don't think WDW management is all that concerned about overall attendance numbers at the moment.
