This can't be real... the ride on the right is clearly from the Moana concept art from Animal Kingdom, and the pride rock mountain in the back looks like its bad AI? Idk, I'm not convinced this is real.
Even if its themed to"New York" what's the purpose or story for seeing exposed coaster track.
Obviously Disney has built outdoor coasters before, but they were all themed.
Up until recently Disney mostly got around building coasters in two methods...
1. If it's outdoors, its themed to some...
I should have specified, Everest when it opened in 2006, when the Yeti actually worked, and credit to Disney, for having the fastest track switch at the time. For being a "thrill coaster" it's beautifully themed... and no visible ugly box like Tron and Cosmic Rewind.
Couldn't agree more, I'd give a honorable mention to Expedition Everest and Mystic Manor.
But out of all of the masterpieces you listed... look how many of them are gone, SAD!
I would assume it would be a book report ride, the animated movie has so many classic moments. Imagine floating past Pride Rock with a Rafiki animatronic lifting baby samba up, with the Circle of Life music in the background.
I would imagine the facade would either be Pride Rock or some sort of...
They massacred his baby, lol I'd be pis*ed too. But I think if they gave him a budget he could work with, he'd want Figment to be presented and introduced in a good attraction, to a new generation who doesn't remember or know about the original ride.
Its just crazy to me, that Disney doesn't let Tony Baxter fix Imagination. He'd do it in a heartbeat, the man has a knack for building amazing attractions, his record speaks for itself.
lol true, I think that's because the concept art looked similar to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and people assumed it was going to be its equivalent. Its basically their park's Barnstormer coaster, just really really well themed.
I agree HKDL needs a big headliner, but I argue many have visited the park because Mystic Manor has gotten so much praise, but on a whole, Mystic Manor isn't enough. I was arguing the park still needs more attractions in general, its still lacking rides for being a castle park. A huge E-Ticket...
I would love to see PPF at this park, do you think Disney would actually build an old school fantasyland attraction so late after the park has been open. I feel like they would go for a newer IP.
Also, why does it seem like current Disney has an aversion to building smaller scale fantasyland...
But is the whole ride the boat parked in front of a dome screen, and moves like an EMV ? or can it be a traditional flume too, and then go into a room with the dome screen, do its sequence and then move out of the dome screen?
