Well, we could always say that they’re “Nahuals”. Nahuals are an idea that Aztecs and Mayas shared. It basically boils down to “animal spirits”.

Ok, what culture are we basing the Indy thing on? In this area, we have the Maya, Aztec, Zapotec, Inca, and Muisca among others. I for one am definitely for Maya or Aztec!
