Is the Great Movie Ride next?

Public Enemy was instrumental in launching the Gangster genre. The Searchers is widely regarded as one of the best films of all time. It is an iconic Western and is probably the best known movie from the still legendary movie star John Wayne. The Tarzan movies and Alien are a bit iffy though.

Is the Great Movie Ride next?

This ride is most dated in that it isn't shoving a Disney brand/franchise down our throats. It never would have been built during Iger's regime...not enough "synergy."

Is the Great Movie Ride next?

This ride was "outdated" the day it opened in 1989...that was kind of the point behind the ride, showcasing legendary (primarily old) Hollywood movies. I highly doubt audiences today are any more or less familiar with any given movie or movie star showcased in the ride than the average guest...

Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

Where has John Lasseter been over the past decade? I thought he actually cared about the quality of the theme parks and had some sort of pull since it was he who stopped TDO from demolishing Tom Sawyer Island.

    EPCOT Entertainment cuts

The comment you are replying to was rather careless, I should have said 30s through 50s since the 1950s is considered a part of Hollywood's Golden Age. And although we are more far removed from those films in 2014 than in 1989, all of those films aside from the last two were "old" at the time...

    EPCOT Entertainment cuts

Nope. You mentioned horror films of the 30s and 40s. Universal produced most of the horror movies from that era which are remembered today. You unfavorably compared them to modern horror movies. "Saw" and "Friday the 13th" are representative of modern horror movies. Of course the theming...

    EPCOT Entertainment cuts

You claim to know some young people who don't know who John Wayne is therefore TGM is a bad ride? Plenty of people...how many people with taste would argue that garbage like "Friday the 13th" or "Saw" are better than the classic Universal horror films? You say "outdated" like it's a bad thing...

If You Were CEO of Disney for a decade

Undo every thing during the Iger and late Eisner eras.

I actually like the new Spaceship Earth ending.

The additions to Spaceship Earth ruined the attraction. The computer scene is particularly galling: the personal computer was not invented by Steve Jobs or that other Apple computer guy in a garage as is implied: it was invented by the massive corporation IBM.

    Disney world rides for life

Walt Disney never saw the 1993 version of the attraction that is now in service.
