We were going to try to visit the new tower / Wailulu grill this summer. I'm guessing they won't let us in to park. Anyone know what the current situation is? Are they sending everyone to park at TTC?
Early on there were small snack lines (like waiting a couple minutes at most). After that there were several areas throughout the park, and you could just go up and get what you wanted without any delay.
For anyone considering this, we went last August and had a blast. Looking to go again this summer.
The queues for most slides during the party were about average for a regular day ... BUT, just like party nights at MK, you are allowed in early at 6pm. Humunga Cowabunga and Crush n Gusher were...
Wholeheartedly agree about the parallels with Disney. While Southwest seems to be intent on destroying itself rather quickly, WDW has gone through a long, slow decline.
I don't think WDW is on the verge of self-destruction (currently) but I absolutely fear it happening at some point in the...
Unfortunately, their likely plan is to squeeze out every penny they can from the investment in the short term, and then move on to their next victim. If the company is in shambles (or if it exists at all), that's not their problem to deal with at that point.
I tried a similar system this past summer at Hershey Park. It was a disaster. Kept reading the wrong items, overcounted items, and eventually I gave up and went to the regular check out (and the employees said it never worked right).
I get that it's just a trial at this point, but if its the...
There is a backstage stairway and hallways that have been used for guests to access Mara during previous storms without having to use the outdoor walkway.
Kind of off topic, but I wish there was a way on the app to see whether the Skyliner is actually running.
When there's obviously a lighting storm overhead you know to go to the bus area. But sometimes we have found ourselves wondering when the busses were actually going to stop/start. Both...
It's interesting, we stayed at the Dolphin in December for the first time and had a balcony. We were on the 8th floor I think, and I remember thinking they seemed sort of precariously placed. I'm sure they are fully structurally sound, but the fact they they are just protrusions of concrete...
10 or 15 years ago the parties were more "limited capacity" and while the parades/fireworks/shows were crowded, there was some breathing room.
We were at the Halloween party in 2019 as well, and it was obvious they sold way more tickets than they had in years past. I am waiting to hear more...
I agree, the hand sanitizer dispensers were a nice touch. I know of a few smaller parks that had these even before the pandemic. It was a nice touch that was customer focused. This is purely a cost savings thing.
And yes, I wash my hands as often as possible, but it was always nice getting a...
Was 2012 when they changed the Hoop Dee Doo song also?
I still miss the original Hoop Dee Doo polka, it's a shame they couldn't work out a deal for the rights.
Still, the show in recent years was good. There's no reason that a tinkering/updating of the script should lead to an inferior...
...And a self-park or valet fee as well. Disney resorts obviously charge now too, just something else to consider.
Also like to add the couple of bottles of water are a nice perk to pack in a bag when going to the parks. And they are doing regular daily housekeeping (or at least they did for...
Admittedly, I was upset when they changed the format to character dining at Artist Point. But we were pleasantly surprised when we went pre-covid, before the closure. The food and service were actually very good, and the character interaction was great. It's definitely a more unique...
