Relatively standard coaster with possibly one or two surprise elements (Tilt Track? Drop Track?) + "Scoop Vehicle" Style dark ride (a.l.a. Never Land Adventure [TDS] or Avengers: Infinity Defense [DCA])... it's just a theory... a Disney theory!!
First Tron, then Buzz, now CoP... AstroOrbiter just got a complete refurb... rumors of SM getting a retrack and now talk of Stitch... People Mover is fine just the way it is... just got to get them to do something with Speedway and we'll have an all new Tomorrowland (more or less)
I love this idea! Looks like the Walt-amatronic will be based on a younger version of Walt than the DL one which I think will resonate well. Further, as opening scene, I assume they keep the curtain and if there is an issue with the animatronic, they can have the simple option of the closed...
Seeing videos of this looks amazing! It's almost a Trader Sams meets Adventurer's Club, but all pirates... would love to try this out, though feels like reservations will be next to impossible... we'll see...
Coming from my personal experience in the land of marketing "exciting announcements" is a very nebulous/meaningless phrase... "Exciting" to whom? (the answer is "marketing"... that is whom the announcements are exciting too...)
Would be curious for sure if they decided to do such an announcement on a "random" day anytime in the next month as opposed to saving it for Destination D23. Such a move would be (yet another) signal that Disney is trying to move away from the expectation that Destination D23 is an event for...
Wonder if there is some concern that the home crowd would react poorly any time Monsters or Cars Land would be discussed based on the popularity of the attractions they are replacing...
I guess on the plus side, Disney had a good quarter (and has a strong outlook for the end of the year) which might make them more bullish on pushing more capital expenditures (and consequently announcing such expenditures at this event).
