News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

Absolutely thrilled for this result, as others have correctly pointed out earlier, Peltz and Rasulo "are who we thought they were," and this is a huge cannonball dodged.

Planning to visit for the first time - stupid question

Extremely last minute, but my mom and I might do a day trip on a day between March 9 and March 11. Any remote possibility of big thunder re-opening by then? I'm using their (absolutely fantastic) refurbishment calendar tool on the website and it looks to be closed all 3 days but opening by the...

    News Destination D23 2023

I'm absolutely thrilled about the animal kingdom plan if they stick to that, zootopia as a traverse-the-planet movie is infinitely better than whatever was going into dinosaur, and getting a south America (ish) land is as exciting as anything they've announced since Star wars. I'm... Happy? Happy!

    News Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary

Are you confusing the spotted dogs with hyenas? The spotted dogs are absolutely ferocious but I think hyenas only eat carrion. But in either case, I don't think either should be in a petting zoo if that's your point

    Miscellaneous Tokyo Thoughts

Hello friends. I'm kind of shell-shocked writing this but work is sending me on a trip and I'll have a weekend layover in Tokyo from Feb. 17-19 so might actually swing a day in Tokyo Disneysea! I've never been to either park (or Japan for that matter) but figure I won't look a gift horse in the...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Love this, there's still some positive developments out there in the (Disney) world

    News D23 Expo 2022

The strangest thing is all of those magic kingdom ideas were great but they were (shockingly?) Candid about "having no earthly idea whether we'll do them or not." And a Moana water coaster type ride could be stellar, albeit misplaced in animal kingdom. Happy to see them redoing harmonious...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

No no, just to be clear, my original post wasn't about people praising universal/criticizing Disney, I apologize for the confusion. What I wanted to convey is that the ride mechanism is absolutely perfect for a Mario Kart attraction. very fast, you drift like a racecar, and you could have all...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Also I'm realizing this only after I already typed it, but if Universal had built this ride for Mario Kart I'm pretty sure people would be calling it one of the best rides on the planet. this would've been a flawless Mario Kart. Someone hire me, I have no engineering, architectural, or...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

It's absolutely like that! I texted a friend it kinda felt like you were in a Mario Kart game! The only thing I'll add is that it is deceptively fast/zippy, so that may be a consideration. Again I can't personally say I felt disoriented in the least, but motion sickness is obviously comes down...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

I got to ride today! Here are some meandering thoughts: I smelled no vomit at any point. so that's something to be grateful for apparently. At this point, I think it's somewhat pointless to talk about whether or not it fits original epcot. Calling a spade a spade, it's a comic book-based...
