This could have been a good idea 20 years ago, when they were doing more exciting rides mixed with the disney charm. Maybe im just sick of the lion king but I feel the imagineers would make the ride even more boring than the movie.
Would 100% take a ride based on any jungle book movie over this.
that's definitely it!! I remember someone who worked in the film saying that. That's also the reason why they used yokai instead of anyone else from big hero 6, they couldn't get the rights from marvel at time.
I feel onward could have been a decent hit had it not been for the pandemic. In the USA, it made in a week the same money wish made in its whole run.
Releasing it in Disney Plus in April definitely hurt it in the long run, cause at that point everyone was just consuming content and binging...
I feel like the movie is already past up that point. It has been on the most watched Disney plus since it came out and still has people talking about it. The movie is also one of the few new ones that's been able to move merch around, with the plushes and 4town shirts constantly selling out...
I think it doesn't look that bad but is very boring, no sense of peril or action.

it does not get better. but I had fun seeing how in your face and unnecessary all the references was and thinking the whole movie what was going on on the studios that its ended this way lol.
Joyride and Bottoms (one of my favorites from last year btw) didn't come out in theaters in my country so I didn't count them as having a big push lol. Don't remember seeing any of the stars in talk shows or YouTube shows either, which No Hard Feeling did a few.
Strays I had completely forgot...
Definitely, I think the last comedy( non rom-com) that got a big push was No Hard Feelings almost a year ago, which didn't do that great at the box office but it was able to make a profit thanks to Sony not having a streaming service and selling it to others .
About Pixar, they have...
So i've been thinking about it and I think it just had a lot of it going against it (aside from not being a good movie) instead of one big cause. in my opinion it had:
a generic title (I know some people who thought it was a documentary for the company, some thought it was the short with all...
